Molina Healthcare was founded in 1980 to provide quality healthcare for anyone receiving government assistance. Today, they offer programs in close to twenty states for those qualified for Medicare, Medicaid or both. In some states, Molina Healthcare also offers individual plans through the health insurance marketplace, also known as the exchange. Depending on the state in which the plan originated, your Molina Healthcare plan may include coverage for mental health services and substance use disorder treatment services through Molina Behavioral Health. Behavioral health services include inpatient and outpatient treatment for recovery from alcohol or drug dependency. Such services may include family and relationship therapy, or treatment for co-occurring issues such as depression, stress and anxiety. Molina understands that long term recovery is most successful when care goes beyond detox and medication-assisted treatment. You will be assigned a Molina case manager who will work closely with the staff at Immersion Recovery Center to ensure your long-term success.

What your Molina Healthcare benefits cover and your total out of pocket expense will vary with each individual. Coverage is dependent on several factors including past detoxification treatment and the details of your plan – specifically your deductible and co-pay amounts. Typically, plans with high deductibles have low monthly payments and cover around 60% of medical costs, while Molina’s gold level plans offer lower deductibles and up to 90% of medical costs coverage, at much higher monthly premium rates. Keep in mind that in Florida, your Molina Healthcare plan may be referred to as Beacon Health Options.

In some cases, admission to Immersion Recovery Center’s highly successful recovery program begins with a safe and medically supervised detox. Our medically-managed detox is the safest way to quit using, and when deemed medically necessary, your Molina Healthcare plan may contribute to covering costs associated with the detoxification and related medications. In addition to detox and related medications, Molina may also cover some or all of the costs associated with our inpatient rehabilitation services and/or outpatient rehabilitation programs. At Immersion Recovery Center, every program blends a 12-step approach based on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, with cognitive behavioral therapy and complementary modalities including family and individual counseling. Psychological and social assessments, as well as education and counseling on maintaining recovery, are all potentially covered under the Molina Behavioral Health program.

Your Molina Healthcare insurance may follow you into aftercare services should you choose aftercare placement in a recovery home, or to participate in ongoing outpatient therapeutic programs. Molina Behavioral Health benefits may include coverage for counseling and psychotherapy, and services rendered by licensed clinical social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, or psychiatric nurse practitioners.

Be advised that some Molina plans will require you to visit an in-network doctor for your benefits to be maximized, while other plans may allow out-of-network visits with a referral from your primary care doctor. Plans may also require for services to be pre-approved before benefits may be applied.
